Erasmus Mundus

Erasmus Mundus was a cooperation and mobility program in the field of higher education. It aimed at strengthening cooperation and international links in the field of higher education by providing students and scholars from around the world the opportunity to study or internship in European universities, and encourages to travel European students and researchers in third countries.

Available Erasmus Mundus courses and partnerships

1. Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes – Follow an integrated Masters Course or Doctoral programme in two or more universities (ACTION 1).

2. Erasmus Mundus Partnerships – Study at partner universities from non-EU countries in a range of disciplines at a range of academic levels (ACTION 2).

Since 2007 IFNUL is a member of the European Commission’s “Erasmus Mundus – External Cooperation Window for Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova (Lot 6/7)” (2007-2009) and Erasmus Mundus Action 2 – Partnerships, Lot 7/8/5. The program is fully funded by the European Union and provides an opportunity for students for two semesters to be trained in European partner university. Students who have already received basic higher education have access to European master’s’s degree after studying abroad. Graduate students preparing a thesis in a partner university for 10-30 months. Teachers, academic and administrative staff can do an internship or perform scientific or methodical design for 1-10 months depending on the project.

IFNUL was a partner institution in 6 Erasmus Mundus partnerships projects that foster internationalisation, support student and academic staff mobility:
