Ambassador of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont visited IFNUL
OCTOBER 21, 2016 – Within the official trip to Lviv, Ambassador of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont had visited the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. IFNUL Rector, Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk had welcomed honorable guest, pointing out that Isabelle Dumont had already visited Lviv University, thus we constantly feel her support for the University activities, expanding and strengthening of its cooperation with higher educational institutions of France.
The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Volodymyr Sulym emphasized: ‘Among all foreign languages that are being taught at the University, French holds a special position due to its popularization and research promotion, owing to signed Cooperation Agreements with several universities of France and permanent support of French Embassy provided for the French Philology Department.
Isabelle Dumont had admitted Roman Pomirko’s constant loyalty and devotion to the Lviv University and presented an honorable reward ‘Ordre des Palmes académiques’.
In response and gratitude Rector had presented Isabelle Dumont the reward of Lviv University – the Ivan Franko Anniversary Medal.
