Director of the Carnegie Fellowship Research Program spoke about the new enrollment for an internship in the US

APRIL 4, 2016 – Director of the Carnegie Fellowship Research Program (USA) Olexiy Kharlamov during the meeting on March 29, 2016, with PhD and doctoral students, researchers, professors and graduate students at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv announced about the new enrollment for training in the United States for scholars in fields of humanities and social sciences for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Therefore in the Carnegie Fellowship Research Program can participate:

– citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine;
– University graduate students and researchers of any level who recently did not conduct research in institutions of the United States;
– scientists whose research topics are relevant and related to social and humanitarian areas;
– PhD students or researchers working on their post-graduate theses;
– scientists who have sufficiently high levels of written and spoken English for the independent and integrated research in the chosen field;
– scientists who have a valid passport and may obtain J-1 visa (for study in the United States for 4 months);
– representatives of the academic community who may reside in the US during September-January 2016-2017 academic year or January-May 2017 (optional).

Mr. Olexiy Kharlamov specified the list of documents required for filing in the application form for the program:

– Application form (you can fill it in online at www.nceeer.org Carnegie Program);
– two recommendation letters;
– 5-7 pages describing the scope of your research;
– Resume or CV;
– a copy of the passport;
– your signature for private policy of the Agreement (part of the Application form).

The participants of the exchange program are guaranteed to obtain:

– reimbursement of travel expenses;
– basic acquaintance classes in Washington;
– a monthly grant of $ 1800;
– Medical Insurance;
– access to libraries and archives, as well as all the needed sources for the study.

The participants will receive one-time assistance fund to purchase all the needed materials for teaching and research – books, technology etc.

The deadline of submitting the application form to participate in the Carnegie Fellowship Research Program is 17.00 April 30, 2016. After processing the applications a specially created committee will select the candidates for the program. In June 2016 there will be held an additional interview in Kyiv. As a result of the interview there will be formed a group of scientists who in September this year will travel to the United States for the program.
