The Presentation of Fulbright Academic Exchange Program at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv

  On September 15, 2014 one of the most prestigious academic exchanges – Fulbright Academic Exchange Program was presented at the Faculty of International Relations. Coordinator of exchange programs for scientists, Natalia Zalutska, described the history of initiation of the Fulbright program and its international reputation.

  The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to “increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.” With this goal as a starting point, the Fulbright Program has provided almost 310,000 participants, who were chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential,with the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.

  The Program began to operate in Ukraine in 1992. Natalia Zalutska noted with pleasure that Lviv and Ivan Franko National University have the largest number of Fulbrighters. Associate Professor of International Relations and Diplomatic Service Department, Roman Kalytchak, shared his experience in scientific training at Kennan Institute (Washington, DC).
