IFNUL and Ariel University (Israel) Deepen Academic Cooperation

FEBRUARY 7, 2016 – The Ariel University delegation led by Vice-President for Research Prof. Albert Pinhasov, visited the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. During the meeting the intensification of cooperation between the two universities had been discussed. In particular, Israeli scientists stressed the importance of deepening cooperation between IFNUL and Ariel University, pointing out that it is extremely necessary to build mutually beneficial relationships between societies and states on the scientific, academic level.

Prof. Albert Pinhasov said that Ariel University is looking forward to accept graduates of the IFNUL for the post-graduate studies. The Ariel University is interested in young scientists and researchers in Chemistry, Mathematics and Engineering. Vice-Rector for Research, Teaching and International Cooperation, Prof. Mariya Zubrytska stressed the urgency of establishing mutually beneficial relations between of one of the oldest universities of our country and the youngest university of Israel.

“We noticed that Ukrainian students are the most motivated among all those who are coming to study in Israel. This demonstrates the high level of your students, thus we are interested in their studying Sciences and Humanities as well.”- said Albert Pinhasov. The possibility of parallel education in Ukraine and Israel, the quantity and quality of scientific publications in specialized scientific journals and further issues had been discussed.

Finally, representatives of the Israel delegation stressed that participation of Israeli students in summer schools that take place in Lviv University would play a significant part in improving mutual cooperation.
