IFNUL hosted the first meeting of the international project in the framework of Erasmus+ programme “Quality Assurance System in Ukraine”

APRIL 8, 2016 – In the framework of the international grant project “Quality Assurance System in Ukraine” within the EU Erasmus + the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted the first ceremonial meeting of partners on the 4th of April 2016 in the Mirror Hall.

The representatives of the consortium of 13 universities from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Greece, the Netherlands,as well as the German independent agency for external evaluation and accreditation (ASIIN), Central European network of agencies for quality assurance (CEENQA), Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, state educational institution “Training and methodology center for qualified education” and Ukrainian Association of student self-governance attended the meeting and presented their institutions.

On behalf of Rector of the University, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Information Vitaliy Kukharskyi greeted his Ukrainian and foreign colleagues. Vice-Rector expressed his hope for productive cooperation within the project and wished the guests an enjoyable stay at the University in Lviv.

“This project is very important, as is intended to support the reforms and the development of quality assurance systems of higher education in Ukraine”, – said in his welcoming remarks Mariusz Mazurkiewicz, the representative of the Wrocław University of Technology (Poland), the coordinator of the project QUAERE.

The project “Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: development on the base of ENQA standards and guidelines” provides development tools for the sustainable functioning of internal and external quality assurance systems, the development of the potential of universities and institutions on the national level through training its staff, the organization of infrastructure at different levels, stimulation and greater involvement of students in processes of self-governance at universities, the introduction of a mechanism of introspection as an integral component of institutional functioning.
