IFNUL received “Лідер науки України: Web of Science Award 2016”
DECEMBER 20, 2016 – On December 15, 2016 at the Great Conference Hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine the award ceremony of the prominent Ukrainian scientists, representatives of research institutions and higher educational institutions took place: their scientific achievements were recognized by the resourses of the ‘Thomson Reuters’ Company.
The event was held under the aegis of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The «Clarivate Analytics formerly IP & Science Thomson Reuters», the manufacturer of Web of Science Scientometric database performed as an initiator of the meeting, havingcompleted a competitive selection within the “Science of Ukraine Leader: Web of Science Award 2016” Project.
IFNUL holds its place among the leaders of science of Ukraine, and was honoured a special award for international financing as the university with the highest number of publications, funded by grants. The Director of the Scientific Library of the University, Associate Professor Vasyl Kmet participated in the meeting. Vasyl Kmet expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and promotion of the Ukrainian scientists’ achievements. He also expressed hope for further cooperation aimed at the development of social and humanitarian projects in scientometrics.
It should be noted that the main result that defined this nomination belongs to the achievements of the chemical and biological faculties of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. IFNUL is one of the founders of the Consortium «E-VERUM», and during 2016 at the Scientific Library there was a series of trainings for teachers and staff.
