IFNUL Students Study Trip to Germany

NOVEMBER 7, 2016 – Based on the agreement between the DAAD and IFNUL a group of 15 students of the Faculty of Geography under the supervision of the Associate Professor of the Department of Economic and Social Geography Vasyl Stetskyi made thematic and educational trip to Germany within the program “Student Trip to Germany”.

Members of the delegation visited a number of lectures on the main trends of modern geographical research of the leading German professors.
A visit to the Parliament of Germany was an important step within the program: the participants monitored the work and discussions of the parliamentarians from different political parties. The excursions to re-cultivated and adapted recreation areas of the former brown coal quarry area were helpful and actual as well.

The students’ meeting with the leading experts from Departments of Social and Economic Development of cities Zittau and Frankfurt (Oder) had an interesting and cognitive impact: the participants were told about the problems and prospects of the economic development of cities and surrounding areas of contemporary cultural and educational status and preservation of national identity of the Serbians Slavic minority within the great German state.

All educational excursions of the DAAD program “Student Trip to Germany” had an educational character, urged the participants to reflection and discussion.
