International Information Day of the EU Program ERASMUS+ for Higher Educational Institutions at IFNUL

OCTOBER 27, 2016 – Over 250 participants from Ukraine, 19 countries of the European Union and partner-countries took part in International Information Day of EU Program ERASMUS+ on October 21, 2016 at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The event was organized by the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine (EU Project) together with Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, in close cooperation with EU Delegation to Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

IFNUL Rector, Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk welcomed the participants and expressed special gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the development of international cooperation if the field of Higher Education. Prof. Melnyk emphasized on considerable experience of the Ivan Franko Lviv National University in EU projects: “Our collaboration with the National Erasmus+ Office lasts for over 20 years”. The academic community of the University is looking forward to further implement both individual partnership programs and institutional projects, which will provide a possibility to intensify scientific research in priority directions.

During the informational session the representatives of National Erasmus+ Offices held consultations concerning actual collaboration directions withing EU programs. The participants were introduced the Erasmus+ structure, opportunities in higher education; rules for the participation under Key Action “Capacity Building of Higher Education” (former Tempus); recommendations on the preparation of project proposals; priorities for cooperation with universities in different countries.

It should be mentioned that representatives of National expert teams in higher education reforming, National Erasmus+ Offices and partner universities of Erasmus+ from 4 regions and 5 members of the EU (Western Balkans countries, Eastern partnership, Mediterranean, Middle Asia, professors from Austria, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden) were present this International Information Day.
