International Security and Partnership Centre (ISPC) was established at IFNUL

JULY 2, 2015 – On July 1, 2015 within the framework of the Summer Academy “NATO in New Risk Environment: Current and Future Challenges” the International Security and Partnership Center was established at the Faculty of International Relations of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The event was supported by NATO Information and Documentation Centre, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The International Security and Partnership Center examines the complex issues of global security and acts as a non-governmental organization. The Centre will publish digest as a results of its activities. It will also involve cooperation with similar institutions who are interested in issues of international security around the world and in Ukraine, in particular”, – said Prof. Markiyan Malskyi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland (2010-2014), Head of International Relations and Diplomacy Department.

“One of the main directions of our work – is to spread objective and truthful information about NATO, its functions and tasks. Communication with young people, especially with students, is of great importance, taking into consideration the aggression from which Ukraine suffers. The International Security and Partnership Center is going to be transformed into a forum and a place where the issues of collective defense and the results of NATO’s activities will be discussed by academic community” – commented Ms. Natalia Nemylivska, Director of NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine.
