IV Annual International Scientific Conference “Socio-cultural, political, legal and economic aspects of international environment”

APRIL 17, 2015 – On April 16, 2015, the IV Annual International Scientific Conference “Socio-cultural, political, legal and economic aspects of the international environment” started in the Mirror Hall of IFNUL.

The conference was opened by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Mariya Zubrytska. “The subject we discuss today is a complicated one. Hence, it is important to exchange views on issues of international environment especially in such a difficult time for Ukraine. We, Ukrainians, express our sincere gratitude to the people of Poland and Polish academic community for their support and understanding of the situation, which is now our state. It is important to know that the international community fully supports us.” – admitted Mariya Zubrytska.

Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Ihor Byk noted that holding this conference recognized the efforts of the academic community of the University aimed at developing European values. In order to better acquaint foreign visitors to the history, science and culture of the city, the conference organizers presented the video about our city.

Doctor of Philosophy in Humanities, Professor of Political Science from University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland) Arkadiusz Żukowski made a presentation on “Challenges of modern foreign policy.” During his speech Prof. Żukowski noted that in conducting of foreign policy cross-border cooperation is very important – namely local border traffic. According to the professor, it will be possible to solve many problems thanks to such actions of the authorities.

The conference was attended by Prof. Jacek Jan Pavlik from Faculty of Theology of University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Svitlana Batsyukova, a graduate student of the Department of Political Science, an expert in human rights advocacy and public interest (Kharkiv National University) and Yaroslav Prytula, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Analysis and Finance (Ivan Franko National University of Lviv).
