Meeting with the delegation from Würzburg University (Germany)
SEPTEMBER 28, 2015 – On September 24, 2015, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Mariya Zubrytska had a meeting with the delegation from Würzburg University led by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Eckhart Pache.
The meeting was also attended by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law Vitaliy Kosovych and Dean Deputy Roksolana Lemyk. The main topic of the discussion was the deepening of academic cooperation, particularly students and teachers academic mobility, participation of students, graduate students and young scholars at summer schools, teachers scientific training at Würzburg University.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues concerning the preparations for the implementation of two joint projects of Lviv University and University of Würzburg, which received the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, namely the project «Prospects» and the Summer School on European Law.
Therefore, in accordance with the previous agreements, during October 19-23, 2015 the delegation of Lviv University, including scientists, teachers, students from the following Faculties: Faculty of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mechanics and Mathematics, Economics, Faculty of Law, International Relations and coordinators – employees of the International Department are going to visit the leading German University – University of Würzburg. Colleagues from the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Ukrainian Catholic University and the Danylo Halytskyy Lviv National Medical University will also join the delegation to Würzburg University.
Concerning the positive experience of introducing Joint Certificate Program in Advanced Computional Mathematics implemented by IFNUL and University of Würzburg, the participants also discussed the prospects of new joint certification programs – namely in European law and German law.
The next stage of Ukrainian-German university cooperation between two universities will be a visit of 40 scientists and students of the Law Faculty of IFNUL to Würzburg University. The representatives of IFNUL will participate in the Summer School of European Law at University of Würzburg in November this year.
