Rector of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv signed the cooperation agreement with Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin
MARCH 24, 2016 – The delegation of representatives of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin
(Poland), headed by Vice-Rector Ursula Bobryk on March 21, 2016 visited the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. During the official meeting of Rector, Professor Volodymyr Melnyk with members of the delegation there was held a signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
It is important to notify that the meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic and International Cooperation Mariya Zubrytska, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Markiyan Malskyy, Dean of the Faculty of Geography Volodymyr Bilanyuk, Associate Professor of Political Science from the Faculty of Philosophy Lubomyr Mandziy. The Polish side was represented by Vice-Rector Ursula Bobryk, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science Grzegorz Janusz, Deputy Dean Marek Pyetras, Professors Wojciech Sokol, Valyent Baluk, Beata Trumpeter.
During the dialogue there were discussed the expansion of cooperation initiated 25 years ago, the inter-institutional cooperation and the development of new strategies for the development and improvement of study process. Therefore, the parties aim to develop actual steps for the implementation of the agreements, including the edition of double diplomas and implementing the academic mobility within Erasmus+. Furthermore the edition of double diplomas provides for the joint development and harmonization of relevant curricula and programs. Thus, the participants plan to start preparing the necessary documentation for the Faculty of International Relations and for specialty “Political Science” at the Faculty of Philosophy.
It is significant to admit that the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv at present cooperates with about 30 universities in Poland, which is based on signed agreements.
