Rector of the Ukrainian Free University in Munich Maria Pryshlyak intends to strengthen the cooperation with IFNUL

JANUARY 15, 2016 – The newly elected rector of the Ukrainian Free University in Munich, Professor Maria Pryshlyak, paid an official visit to the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv on January 14, 2016, in the framework of which she met with the Rector, Professor Volodymyr Melnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic and International Affairs, Professor Mariya Zubrytska and Director of the Center for Political Research, Professor of Political Studies Anatoliy Romaniuk.

The sides outlined the vector of the academic cooperation between IFNUL and UFU, discussed ways of implementation of joint projects and initiatives. In particular, during the conversation they expounded on the creation of joint training programs, introduction of certificated Master’s courses of academic training of students and teachers, as well as on international conferences, joint publications of scientific works and periodicals.

We should recall that at the general meeting of the Board of Professors and Councils of Faculties of the UFU on July 4, 2015, Maria Pryshliak was elected as Rector of the Ukrainian Free University in Munich. The tenure of Professor Maria Pryshliak as Rector began on January 1, 2016. By this time Maria Pryshliak has worked as International Program Director of East European and Eurasian Studies at Georgetown University (USA), Dean of the Faculty of State and Economic Studies at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich.

It should be noted that the cooperation between IFNUL and UFU has a long history, which started and was officially established with an agreement in 1994.
