Ambassador of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont intends to deepen cooperation between French universities and IFNUL

OCTOBER 29, 2015 – On October 27, 2015, the Ambassador of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont for the first time visited Lviv and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The newly appointed Ambassador Dumont emphasizes the need to deepen cooperation between French universities and IFNUL. “Taking into account the positive dynamics and significant experience of cooperation between the Embassy of France, French Universities and Lviv University, there is a need to outline the prospects for expansion and deepening of Ukrainian-French relations and work out effective mechanisms for further cooperation”, – said Isabelle Dumont during the meeting on with IFNUL Rector, Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk and Vice-Rector for Academic and International Affairs, Prof. Mariya Zubrytska.

Volodymyr Melnyk told that the cooperation between the universities of France and IFNUL is conducted in the forms of internships, joint research projects and exchange of experience. French Ambassador expressed her gratitude to the University for highly trained specialists in French language and the promotion of French culture in Ukraine.

Advisor for Culture and Cooperation of the French Embassy Pascal Slivanski, Honorary Consul of France in Lviv Danylo Yarema, Head of the Department of French Philology, Professor Roman Pomirko and President of Alliance Française Nataliia Demchuk also attended the meeting.
