Conference on the EU-Ukraine relations within Jean Monnet project “The EU’s Subnational Dimension”
DECEMBER 7, 2016 – On December 5, 2016, Lviv Regional State Administration, Ivan Franko National Univeristy of Lviv and its Jean Monnet project “The EU’s Subnational Dimension”, National University “Lvivska Politechnika” and the Student Council of Lviv co-organized the conference on the EU-Ukraine relationships. The participants discussed different aspects of the bilateral partnership, including the state of implementation of the Association agreement. Special attention was dedicated to the delay of the introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. The second part of the discussion was mainly focused on the impact of the EU-Ukraine relations on regional level. The participants agreed that the Lviv region located on the border with the EU has been particularly well-positioned to benefit from a range of available opportunities, but this would require a more proactive position of Ukrainian partners.
