Delegation of German Federal Parliament Members visited IFNUL
DECEMBER 12, 2014 – On December 10, 2014, the delegation of German Federal Parliament members visited IFNUL. The delegaton consisted of the following members: MdB Dr. Peter Gauweiler, Chairman of German Parliament Subcommittee for Foreign Cultural and Educational Affairs, Alfred Forchel, President of Wurzburg University, MdB Dr. Egon Juettner (Romanistic Studies, Educational Research), MdB Martin Rabanus (Political Studies), MdB Dr. Diether Dehm, Vice-Chairman ( Studied Teacher of handicapped children, Artist), Gudrun Ludwig, Secretary of German Parliament Subcommittee for Foreign Cultural and Educational Affairs, Dirk Lechelt, Head of Cultural Group at German Embassy in Kyiv.
IFNUL was represented by: Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk, Rector, Prof. Roman Gladyshevskii, Vice-Rector for Research, member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Assoc. Prof. Volodymyr Sulym, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Prof. Mykhailo Zarichnyi, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Prof. Taras Banakh, Department of Geometry and Topology; Prof. Yarema Savula, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Prof. Igor Polovynko, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics, Prof. Alla Paslavska, Head of the Department of Intercultural Communication and Translation, Yuriy Ishchuk, Assoc. Prof. of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Vasyl Kmet, Head of the Academic Library, Kotsovska Oksana, coordinator of German Law Center, Yaroslav Tkach, Head of the Student Government.
Within the framework of the visit the representatives of the German Parliament met with the students, who participate in program organized by IFNUL and University of Würzburg “Joint Certificate Program in Advanced Computional Mathematics”, professors and graduate students who completed the internship at the University of Wurzburg, coordinators from the Centre of German Law, as well as lecturers and students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, who teach and study German.
IFNUL Rector, Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk expressed his gratitude to the President of Wurzburg University, Prof. Alfred Forchel and his colleagues for the implementation and realization of “Joint Certificate Program in Advanced Computional Mathematics”, as well as spoke about the visit of the University professors to Wurzburg University previous month. Director of Scientific and Educational Center of Low Temperature Studies, Prof. Volodymyr Kapustianyk expressed words of gratitude to Prof. Alfred Forchel for the opportunity to attend the seminar on nanotechnology in the University of Wuerzburg and to gain valuable experience.
