Delegation of the University of Computer Sciences and Skills in Łódź (Poland) visited IFNUL
MAY 26, 2016 – On May 23, 2016, representatives of the University of Computer Sciences and Skills in Łódź (Poland) visited Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Research, Teaching and Informatisation Vitaliy Kukharskyy and Managing Director of the University of Computer Sciences and Skills in Łódź Przemysław Kowalski discussed ways of establishing academic cooperation between universities. The meeting was also attended by Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Ivan Dyyak and the Head of IFNUL International Office Liubov Chapliak.
Vitaliy Kukharskyy outlined the experience of INFUL cooperation with universities in Poland, Germany and Italy, in particular in the framework of Erasmus+ Programme, and the successful practice of international academic exchange of students and teachers. Przemyslaw Kowalski spoke in details about University of Computer Sciences and Skills in Łódź, which is a major center for gaining skills in the field of computer science. It is worth noting that about two hundred Ukrainian students are studying in University of Computer Sciences and Skills. The main areas of cooperation, which, according to Polish colleagues is a priority includes academic exchanges and opening of joint training programs. According to Przemyslaw Kowalski, this tradition could be useful for Ukrainian and Polish colleagues from both universities which are reputable universities in the training of IT specialists. Thus, during the negotiations the parties reached agreements on working out concrete steps for establishing effective Ukrainian-Polish academic cooperation.
