IFNUL Starts Cooperation with the University of Debrecen (Hungary)

OCTOBER 24, 2016 – Based on the framework agreement approved by the Senate of the University of Debrecen and IFNUL Academic Council, academic cooperation between IFNUL and Hungarian universities has been launched.

In order to expand mutually beneficial collaboration between universities for the development of educational and research activities, IFNUL Rector Volodymyr Melnyk signed the Cooperation Agreement between the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the University of Debrecen on October 11, 2016.

According to the Agreement, the parties intend to cooperate in all areas of mutual interest, using appropriate resources and forms of experience (scientific and research staff exchange for lecturing, seminars, conferences, joint research programs, training courses, participation in Examination Board and Dissertation Committees; post-graduate students’ exchange, publications and scientific information’ exchange; sharing administrative staff for professional development; “double diploma” project development and common educational projects etc.).

It should be noted that before the process of signing the CA our delegation had visited the University of Debrecen.
Our University is looking forward to develop an opportunity for the students to learn Hungarian, thus we have to make steps towards foreign languages, especially towards our neighboring countries. In addition, we inform that the University of Debrecen provides a one-year free syllabus of the Hungarian language.
