Signature of an international cooperation agreement between IFNUL and Humboldt University (Germany)

  On September 10th, 2014, a cooperation agreement between the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Humboldt University of Berlin was solemnly signed at the Mirror Hall of the University. In order to further expand, deepen and strengthen the educational, scientific and cultural relations between the leading universities of Ukraine and Germany were reached the agreements that involve joint projects and academic exchange programs for researchers, teachers, students and postgraduate students.

  Over the next five years, our University and the Humboldt University of Berlin will put into practice a number of scientific and educational projects, particularly for 2014-2017 a plan for scientific cooperation in the fields of Slavonic studies and pedagogy was developed. Scholars of both universities will work in the following thematic areas:

  - strategies of literary canonization and cultural identity;

  - aspects of teaching course methodology “Ukrainian as a foreign language” in comparison with the methods of the Russian language teaching;

  - European reform of higher education.

  The solemn signing ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk, Vice Rector for international relations Prof. Maria Zubrytska, and those who are responsible for the implementation of projects: Associate Professors from the Faculty of Philology Olena Haleta and Lesia Antoniv; Head of the Department of General and Social Pedagogy Dmytro Hertsyuk and Associate Professor Yulia Zayachuk; Erasmus Mundus and Tempus Coordinator, Associate Professor from the Faculty of International Relations Oksana Krayevska. Humboldt University of Berlin was represented by Professor Suzanne Frank and students.
