International Summer School “Ukrainian Langugage and Country Studies” Opening Ceremony

JULY 25, 2016 – 22 participants from 10 countries, including Slovenia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Finland, South Korea and Japan, have chosen International Summer School “Ukrainian Language and Country Studies ” at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, where they will learn the Ukrainian language and get acquainted with the Ukrainian culture.

During the opening ceremony of the Summer School, that was held on 19 July 2016 in the Mirror Hall of the University, participants were welcomed by the Vice-Rectors, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and School Coordinator, a senior lecturer at the Department of Applied Ukrainian Linguistics, Lesya Antoniv.

Vice-Rector for Research, Teaching and International Cooperation, Prof. Mariya Zubrytska highlighted that the University opens the doors to all who wish to know profoundly multifaceted Ukrainian culture and comprehend the beauty and richness of our language.

Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching Yaroslav Harasym expressed his hope that due to the efforts of the organizers of the Summer School, including, in particular, teachers from the Department of Applied Ukrainian linguistics, Ukraine will remain forever in the hearts of each participant.
