OeAD starts call for applications for higher education cooperations

The Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research (OeAD-GmbH) has launched a call for applications for the financial support programme IMPULSE. Future cooperations between Austrian higher education institutions and institutions in Southern, Central and Eastern Europe are actively supported.

IMPULSE is to support the development and consolidation of partnerships of Austrian higher education institutions with at least one and a maximum of five partner institutions. Eligible for application are Austrian state universities, private universities, universities of applied sciences and university colleges of teacher education. The financial support programme is endowed with a funding volume of 900,000 euros maximum from the OeAD support fund; direct reference to the internationalisation strategy of the higher education institution is required. A maximum of 100,000 euros per partnership and per year are awarded for a maximum period of two years, depending on the number of partner institutions. The partnerships are geared towards medium- and long-term cooperations, with future further funding from other funding programmes being sought.

IMPULSE serves as start-up funding for new cooperations between Austrian higher education institutions and institutions from non-EU countries of Southern, Central and Eastern Europe.

The closing date for applications is Monday, June 15th, 2015.
