International Joint Certificate Program on Selected Topics in Computational Mathematics Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, Germany
Internationalization is an essential element of modern science and economy. Julius Maximilian University, Würzburg and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv offer highly qualified Master and PhD students in
● Applied Mathematics and Informatics
● Computer Science and Electronics, and
● Mechanics and Mathematics
a new and fascinating opportunity: an international Joint Certificate Program (JCP) on SelectedTopics in Computational Mathematics, that focuses on the mathematical foundations of computer science. The language of instruction of the program is English. The JCP is completed by a certificate issued jointly by both Universities. During two semesters, they combine their expertise to provide you with skills serving as basis for a further career in international or national academia or companies. Courses completed successfully within the Joint Certificate Program can be included simultaneously in the regular Master Courses at Ivan Franko National University as electives.
Upon successful completion of the JCP, Julius Maximilian University Würzburg will support excellent students in obtaining: 1) a PhD scholarship at the University of Würzburg (via BayHost or DAAD); 2) internships in companies from the Würzburg area that support the program (such as Brose or Wittenstein).
Students, who want to be eligible for a PhD stipend, or who want to go to Germany for an internship need to speak (some) German. For students who don’t speak German, or who want to improve their German, German language courses and language tests are offered in the framework of this program.
A brief application with name, current study program, bachelor gradeand grade of English and/or German test in the master entrance exam must be submitted by email to email@example.com.
The deadline for the registration is September 9, 2016.
