Rectors of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Poland) discussed the prospects of deepening cooperation

JULY 1, 2016 – Rector of Pomerian University in Słupsk, Prof. Roman Drozd and Professor of the Department of Axiological Foundations of education at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Marek Melnyk visited the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and had a meeting with the IFNUL Rector, Prof. Volodymyr Melnyk, Vice-rector for Academic and International Relations, Prof. Mariya Zubrytska, Dean of the Faculty of History, Prof. Roman Shust.

Parties discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation between universities, focusing mainly on the issues of obtaining double diplomas, academic mobility, student exchange, stafftraining and work on joint scientific and educational projects.

Rector of Pomerian University in Słupsk, Prof. Roman Drozd highlighted that the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk intensively cooperates with Ukrainian educational institutions. “We have signed 20 agreements with Ukrainian universities and are trying to make those agreements that we have to be effective, “- he said and expressed his gratitude to Ukrainian colleagues for active cooperation between the universities.

In 2015 was signed the cooperation agreement between the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Pomerian University in Słupsk and the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
