Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine visited IFNUL
NOVEMBER 22, 2016 – In terms of his first official visit to Lviv Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Davide La Cecilia, had a meeting with students of the Faculty of International Relations of the IFNUL.
The Ambassador declared strong support for the Ukrainian integration aspirations. During the meeting Davide La Cecilia stressed the importance of further cooperation between Ukraine and Italy. In particular, the Ambassador said, that Ukraine possesses great opportunities for investment and improving business climate: “You have two most important things for this: human capital and high levels of education and training.”
In addition, Davide La Cecilia admitted cultural and educational potential of the city, thus the embassy is interested in establishment closer cooperation at all levels.
The political cooperation between Ukraine and Italy was mentioned: in this context, the Ambassador noticed that the Italian government supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, claiming it as a heart of Europe.
Finally, Ambassador shared diplomatic experience with the students and admitted: “Education is a way to build a successful future. And the future of Ukrainian elite depends on you – it is in your hands”.
