Students team of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Information Science from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv took the first place at the ACM International Student Programming Contest of Southeastern European region.
Third-year student Vitaliy Herasymiv, fourth-year student Roman Bilyi and fifth-year student Bohdan Pryschenko will participate in the final of student programming world championship, which will be held in May next year in Morocco.
In general, teams from ten European countries attended the semi-final. By conditions of the contest three team members were provided with one computer. Within five hours young programmers were demonstrating their knowledge, skills and team spirit.
According to trainer of our team Vasyl Biletskyy, students learned well to understand each other and were actively preparing for the Contest during weekly trainings.
In Morocco in May our team will have a difficult task – final competition against the hundred strongest student teams in the world.
